The Annual General Meeting and lunch

In late spring every year, we hold our Annual General Meeting and
pot-luck lunch to which every club member is invited. It’s the most important meeting of the year, and is always a festive, fun occasion, giving us the opportunity to put faces to names, be updated on membership and the finances of the club, and to vote on important issues.

As the club is registered in Hossegor, the mairie generously grants us a large meeting room free of charge – traditionally either at the grand Sporting Casino or at the convenient salle polyvalente in Soorts – and provides us with tables, chairs and equipment. Add some pretty tablecloths, flowers and a few cases of Champagne and wine and the stage is set.

Every three years we vote at the AGM to choose a charity to support
from a shortlist the charity committee has prepared. Our current charity, selected by members in 2023, is Restos du Cœur, Capbreton.​​​​​
